The Evangelism Committee shall work with the Church Council to make evangelism an ongoing priority ministry of the congregation to win people to a profession or a renewal of faith in Jesus Christ.
The Evangelism Committee shall be concerned with persons who are not members in any local church, the church's own inactive members, and the care of all its members.  Its responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, working with all organizations of the church to identify and reach out
  1. to persons who are neither members nor active in a church,
  2. helping persons share the good news of Jesus Christ,
  3. keeping a current prospect file,
  4. providing for visitation programs,
  5. setting growth goals,
  6. inviting persons to Christian descipleship in the worship services,
  7. planning specific evangelism events and missions,
  8. incorporating new members,
  9. and assisting in the possibilities of starting new congregations.
In cooperation with the pastor and the Church Council, the evangelism committee shall develop and implement ministries of membership care, growth in discipleship, and spiritual formation including distribution of the Upper Room and other devotional resources.
